i guess i can add to this since nobody seems willing to step up. apparently codename won all of their saturday games, then was invited into the a-bracket (seems odd). on sunday they lost two hard fought games.

on a side note, i think i added too much lime to this salsa. not sure what to add to combat that. i might need all the acidity for it to can properly though....damn i dunno what to do.

more sugar would most likely combat the lime, but i like limey tasting salsa so i'd leave it

joel told me it was a new format for grub this year, so when L&C goes back, we'll have to make sure not win all our games on saturday so we can stay in the b-pool. i'm liking our chances more and more for a b-pool victory one of these days. Smile

With the new format you also have to watch out for A division teams that move down to the B bracket. Mark Witherall's team "The Business" won the B Bracket. I'd bet they were pretty solid.

I remember the good old days, when one team drunk off there asses could meet another team, also drunk off their asses, in the final. We'd share some bowls, and play on the same grassy arena as the A-bracket finals and be virtual heroes. Daniel Marsh dressed as a hot dog had some awesome points. king kharl dressed as tiny elmo, pulled down his pants pre-huck for glory, and then his huck hit his defender in the stomach, pissing all over his rainbow. good times.

Was Hess scrumtralescent back then? Now he can't even indulge on the sideline without being reprimanded by his Fort Collins crews.

Codename went 3-0 in pool play. We dominated all the games here even handily beating last year's B-division champions, Jumping Bones.

This earned us the right to play a cross-over against a 4th seed in the A-division. We won this game and had the choice to play in the A-division consolation (9th place) bracket or the B-division championship (17th place) with a first round bye. We elected to go up into the A-division.

We played against D-Marsh and Joel's team. We came out strong and went up early. At 4-3 we hit a lull and let them rattle off 5 unanswered to take half 8-4. We played better in the second half, but could not overcome the defecit. We lost 14-11. Then we played a group of young athletes. I swear all of their guys were over 6 feet tall. It was a good game, but...

Wow, I'm just impressed that you gave up a first round bye! Although that is usually the downfall of Fayetteville ultimate...
