Don't win ur pool; u are better off to finish 2nd. 3rd or lower is awful though.

Throwing a game to end up second might not work in that pool due to tie breakers. Also, are you trying to hedge your bets for an easier path by playing Luther in the first round rather than Pitt in the second?

LS needs to play as many quality games as possible. They are locked into 3 mediocre pool games followed by another mediocre game. Assuming they win that one, they then they get stomped by Pitt which is another useless game.

Finishing h2 leads to two quality games and then a trouncing.

However, the most likely scenario is that LS blows it somewhere and ends up playing crap b bracket games that will do nothing to further a quality spring season.

As a side note, the td is a bracketologist idiot. There should only be two power pools.

I think if the power pools go to seed Luther is going to be just as hard as Pitt. Sure Pitt has Thorne and Degirolamo and won Nationals, but Luther is returning Johnson and Graffy and they finished fifth at Nationals.

Who knows though. Johnson, who is the heart and soul of Luther, hurt his arm/shoulder pretty bad at Club Nationals and it may not be back to 100% yet.
