In response to all the rave reviews I received after last year's "SlackeRED" thread, I present a recap of the first week of Winter League 2013!

We were bummed to learn that a few of the Tulsa guys on Orange ("Winter Tan"?) wouldn't be able to make it to Fayetteville, but were excited at the prospect of not getting our asses stomped. Brosh must have heard about the potential disparity, and decided to sit this week out.

We traded downwind points for most of the game, getting a few crazy upfield hucks in during the second half. Orange looked VERY good and gave us a run for our money - and this with only one "female" (Chuck Maxwell's kid) and a handful of superstars absent. This Kyle Todd guy is no joke. He had at least 5 layout bids in the game and caught some discs that must have been 11 feet off the ground. Casey and Bagley played well, but I was most impressed by Chuck Maxwell. Maybe I've just never really seen him play before. Very solid.
Sucks to be anyone who plays them with KyleDetring (and hopefully Jason Crying or Very sad ) present in the future.
----------------------------------
Purple: We heard a little bit about White's win over Purple and decided to go zone... well, after letting off an easy Seabass --> Jeff huck for a score. Looking back, that first point of the game was the last time they scored before my early departure (we were up 11-1). They also had only one lady for most of the game, and forfeited more than a few unforced errors.

Busta LIMEs we played reasonably well together, and were greatly aided by the Little Rock handle core. Not sure why these fellas went so late in the draft!
Thanks to our three SOCO ladies for showing up.

He's talking about board game night at Mojos tomorrow.
But I don't see how Cam can go 2-0, since he's only ever won ONE game
(after 19 games of "Settlers" and 10 games of "Lords of Waterdeep")!

Cool

Edit: unless you count the Golden Globe award for his performance in The Resistance, but I digress...

Forgot to mention your two Callahans in a single game. You're a regular Al Bundy!

You mean you don't enjoy this digital circle jerk as much as I do?

Its the second best thing on the boards besides grown men getting off while getting angry at high schoolers.

You're so meta, Will!

I get worked up, but even my young nemesis knows: at the end of the day, there is no ill will. And those calls are BS.
