I would never have thought that something so meta would have crashed the board commentary for nearly five days. |

Also, holy shit! I didn't even realize I broke the 100 posts mark! And it only took 5 years.
Man, like wow... man. |

Mills, this really just an ambiguous post.
Quote: | "I just had a great idea...that y'all are gonnawanna hate-fuck really hard. |
In the first instance, Evan has a great idea. We, the readers, have no clue what this idea is, but whatever it may be we are gonnawanna hate-fuck said idea. In this case, no one replied because everyone is waiting for said idea.
In the second instance, the great is idea is defined, it being that we, the readers, are gonnawanna hate-fuck really hard. In this case, no one replied because this is a fairly tautologous statement. I mean, who among us doesn't want to hate-fuck really hard?
I doubt "crashed" is an appropriate descriptor of the audience's response. The audience is either waiting patiently (instance one), or nodding softly in agreement (instance two). Either way it seems like poor, perhaps drunken, writing. For more information, please visit my website: howtonotwritelikeafuckingfucktard.com. |

Ohhhhhhhhhhh.
I was under the impression that Evan's comment was like totes meta-in that it spoke to both general quality of our threads as well as the nearly automatic negative feedback from the body rest of us. This revelation was so profound it silenced all in the hopes that we could somehow reverse our growing cynicismssss.
Quote: | Tom Smykowski: It was a "Jump to Conclusions" mat. You see, it would be this mat that you would put on the floor... and would have different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO.
Michael Bolton: That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, Tom.
Samir: Yes, this is horrible, this idea. |
While all recognize Smykowski's idea is, in fact, a horrible idea, we as a society recognize that if we fully deflate Smykowski's spirit, we will never have shitty ideas to make fun of. Thus, like the Matrix, we from time to time must reset ourselves. Perhaps Evan was taking it upon himself to make us aware that that time is now. Perhaps his call was heard.
That, or it could have been the week of snow.
In hindsight, it was probably the week of snow.
In either event, "crash" was an unfortunate choice of words. Noted.
I do apologize for my confusion. Unfortunately I chose to pursue advanced degrees in social science as opposed to creative writing. |
