Hey now, I saw complaints, just after i got here, that the message board was too quiet this summer, so excuuuuuuuse me for trying to help! Evil or Very Mad

I am looking for those socks for ya, but as for the sake, which I haven`t even tried yet Confused , I don`t know the rules on taking that in my luggage...isn`t it not allowed or something?

Ha, so that brings up the point that when I return August 3rd I will have been sober for over 2 months.......my plan is to become an alcoholic.

Doughboy

PS...Crissy, the way I see it the real father is either the lead singer of Pizza of Death...or hien.....so how do you feel knowing baby Irus will have slanted eyes???

Doughboy...how's the island? I like the stories and random weirdness. I'll be home in August too, so maybe I'll actually get to see everyone! Have a great time!

Well guys, I just now accidentally ate baby fish....we`re talking the head and all...they were less than an inch long, and really thin, so I didn`t really notice them until it was too late Sad

Let`s see...I went to Nikko, site of some old temples and shrines, most of which were built by the 3rd shogun dude. I`ve been borrowing my host`s digital camera, so I got tons of pictures....the famous sleeping cat....the three monkeys, etc... I found my buddha (the one that protects people born in the year of the doggy) statue and got a necklace so that he`ll protect me and stuff. The word is I`m now offically Buddhist, but I don`t know the requirements, so don`t ask me how I turned into one Smile

I watched Harry Potter 1 on tv in Japanese, which was freaking weird... and I`m gonna go see the new movie in a Japanese theater, cause I heard it`s in English with Japanese subtitles. Movie tickets here cost 10 dollars at least by the way. No popcorn for me... Evil or Very Mad

Kiwi, how was the empire state building??? The miniture Japanese one is what it is....Japanese imitation...

Crissy, so sorry about the baby, but I really wasn`t ready to watch you mother a child...

Rachel! I MISS WOO! Now I have another reason to long for August...

Well, back to being a stupid foriegner,
Laura

Happy 4th everyone! Hope you all party hard.

As for me, I`m celebrating American Independence by watching some good old American football....

But not quite, you see, it`s Japanese football, which I didn`t think existed....but I just now discovered it on TokyoMxTv.

And yes, these short, skinny Japanese guys do make depressing little football players....but who wouldn`t love to watch the
DEERS vs. the ONWARD SKYLARKS.

The DEERS are winning 17-7,
Laura

If Ryan gets to update, then so do I.

The Japanese elections for half of the cabinet have finally ended...I`d had enough of the big posters of unnaturally smiling candidates pictured from the shoulders up. I was also a bit tired of waking up to those damn election advertisement trucks...complete with large speaker on top and loud monotone Japanese voice saying vote for so and so...

hmm...new Engrish examples:

-"Frog Style Biscuit: The Great Taste Biscuit Frog!!"

-tv commercial for energy drink...buff Japanese dude repeatedly yells "Fightooooo!" (...Japanese requires a vowel sound after the T-sound)

It is almost 10 am in F-town, but it`s sleepy time here, so goodnight,
Laura
