what would make the clock on my pc change to around 2-3 hours slow. this happens almost daily. i wouldn't normally care, but i just recently got it fixed by dell.

a dead or almost dead cmos battery, although im not sure if laptops use these, i think so though, that would be about only thing other then virus etc,

a. deal with dell(sons of bitches) again and get them to find the exact problem now.
b. wait until i'm seeing the "blue screen of death" everytime i open windows again or until right before my warrenty runs out to fix it.

I think i'll go with b. final answer.

that's happened to me before. i don't know about any battery crap, but if you go to your date and time properties, then click on internet time, there's a button to update the time. and that fixed mine and it doesn't get behind little by little, just once or twice it suddenly was half an hour slow.
