I hope all players, especially the experienced ones, will remember that this league is intended to give new players a positive experience playing ultimate.
Getting to play, catching, throwing, and learning the rules is positive. Listening to experienced players argue over minor issues or lose their $#!+ is not.

Remember, ultimate does not build character, it reveals it.

week 4 standings

Sorry I don't have much commentary to add. I was impressed when we played purple, yellow, orange and sand. I'm looking forward to a re-match with red and a full strength? blue. I predict a red vs yellow final game, yellow is shaping up to be a very strong team, but curious to see how they fair when the going gets tough. I still, as a captain, have not figured out how to win hard games, but I think my team has fun, and thats the point, right joy?!?

Things are gonna get interesting these last few weeks of league, rankings are gonna move around quite a bit I think.

not fully complete but close.

after a tumultuous week, a savage red team is dethroned by Sangria, who skims through the week yet again with their only loss to team Kleinhenz. So far any fears of Abe missing league b/c of college tournaments has not been a factor.

Despite casey boy's outbursts of passion and wax running out of gas toward the end after running deep for most every point, Blue is able to take on the almost savage red team in a decisive, but very contested win (pun intended).

in other first round news, Lime upsets yellow who I heard was "missing some players", white doesn't have enough to play and the Orange/sand scores will probably never be reported.

Second round, purple gets its second win against a crippled but present white team. Sand puts up a good fight against yellow who is apparently still "missing some people", but yellow pulls out the W. Sangria takes blue with a conniving deficit, though i'd like to hear if there are any Juicy details from this game that I'm missing, and lastly, black rides through the fire like the Dark Riders in LOTR to defeat a savage red. Notable moments include going mostly Zone+1 with Andrea "man-ing" Jacob. which worked out well until there was a turn and Jacob would get a little too sensual on the mark, for some reason this disturbed Andrea's ability to focus. Lots of hucking, but not as much as you may expect. I think we (black) finally overcame our redzone hump of not being patient and trying to force something, thanks to Earl's urging us to run an end-zone drill for 30 minutes earlier that day.

love, jwill

Everybody liked each other and had a good game. It was hot. Spirit all over everyone.
