I have been having trouble getting access to the internet, or I would have posted more.

It is very beutiful here but a bit cold. Orientation was in a really nice area on the north island (pictures coming soon). I'm in Christchurch now, and the area around the university is nice, but down town is supposed to be nicer. What I really want to do is get up in to the mountains...hopefully this weekend.

Well, I'm off to register for classes, which start monday :( on the bright side, once I register, I get my own internet account and can post more / upload some pictures / unveil the much anticipated joel in nz webpage!

the reason no one can find Renata is b/c my little brother, Jacob, perfected his Joel costume and used it to kidnap her. He has her tied up in my basement right now. I'd go down there and check on her but all those screams scare me.

Yeah, I thought that too, but the boards don't go back to the late 1980's...

Hey Joel, I'm heading to Chch and playing with them at the tournament. Is there anyone there that would have been hanging out there for seven years? I figure its all college kids who stay for a semester and bounce... and did you ever meet the wizard?

unfortunately i haven't kept up with any players, but i know it's some of the same people. christchurch had good quality pickup at least once a week back then, and I bet it's gotten better since. i did find this: http://christchurch.ultimate.org.nz/

sundays at hagley (the big park in the middle of town) and thursday eventings at ilam fields (on campus) were the days for pickup back in ought three as well.
