Arkansas won the open division beating OU in the finals. Congrats, boys. They went 7-1 and avenged a Saturday loss to H.I.P. with a Sunday semi-final win.

Codename finished in 5th place with the 4th best record in open after starting seeded 18th and ending with a great weekend going 6-2 on the weekend (playing 6 guys 1 woman). We beat #2 OU twice on the weekend, split 1 point games with Springfield, and lost one tough game to H.I.P. (12-8 ) in quarterfinals.

Official results can be found here:
http://ultimatecentral.com/tournament/2011-summer-solstice#teams
1) Arkansas 7-1
2) OU 5-3
3) Praire Fire 7-1
4) HIP 6-2
5) Codename 6-2

I think I saw the Hillbilly's playing Bohica in the B-bracket finals. Anyone have results for them?

Looks like the ladies had a decent weekend as well though there's a game not filled in so I don't know if they went 2-3 or 3-2.

I may very likely never go back to that tournament, so it was good to end it on a high note. Congrats to all who survived and thrived this weekend in Tulsa.[/url]

Congrats to the alums for taking the crown, and to Codename for a strong showing as well!

Hillbillys and friends also went 6-2 on the weekend (seeded 17th to start), losing our first two games to Prairie Fire and HIP before running the table the rest of the way and beating Bohica for the Beer championship. Only there was no beer!

Solstice sucks. Very Happy

We're off to GM Nationals in two weeks.

Turk's Fayetteville team ended up being mostly a pickup team, with ladies joining us from as far away as Saint Louis and Chicago. They were all solid players and lots of fun.

We went 3-1 in pool play, losing to inferno who went on to win the ladies division. Despite our best efforts to sabotage them with wine bag offerings, we lost our first bracket game to a hayride-ish looking Oklahoma team we had won against the day before. Nebraska forfieted to us in the 3rd/4th place game.

Glad there were so many fun ladies to hang out with for Solstice! Not sure when I will be able to come back either.

Congrats! Do I know any of these guys -- was it mainly a Ludicrous alum team?

Beard and brows = Joel

I'd show you the math on Mr Doedge's name, but that's hard to do with the current setup.

I can't believe I'm the only one not holding the disc up in our team photo. I think I was distracted, buzzed, and possible about to collapse. I thought she took another shot when I was holding it up. Dipshit move! On another note, thanks for the invite and I thouroughly enjoyed playing with everyone!
