thanks!

Is the pump the main cost associated with the project? Can you elaborate on how it works with no motor?

Im very sorry everyone, but somebody pulled a michael and covered it all.

BUT! the good news is that i have another project that will be in need of fundraising just around the corner, with a much easier way to donate.

thanks for the interest, happy 4th of july!

As for your question Steven, the pump works with water pressure. For every meter of drop the "pump" pushes water up 10 meters. Typically you would want the drop to involve a waterfall of some sort, but in our case where we will put the tube the river flows rapidly enough to work out. Well see about more of the details when one of my bosses comes and helps us install the thing.

And yes, close to 1/2 of the cost is the pump. PVC piping isnt super cheap either. did that help answer the question at all?
