That is the worst schedule/google doc I have ever tried to read... That couldn't have been made more complicated

Nope never mind, looks good. Last night I read it differently while drunk, thought our team had four opponents

im no google doc genius, but in excel it would be fairly easy to link one tab to the other so we only have to update the scores once on the schedule tab which would then tie to the first tab. are there "advanced" formulas like that in google docs?

yes, i think it's possible in google docs, but i was too sleepy to keep working on it at the time, and it's easy for me to go in and update both sheets

the first page really isn't necessary and i don't care if the captains update it, as long as they upkeep the schedule page.

for winter league, we can work to set up something that combines the two into one - i don't think it would be difficult. we're also currently looking into new webpage options that will have real time updating possibilities. but that will still take awhile to get off the ground.

google docs can be real time if captains/willing players have smart phones.

*edit: figured it out by a quick google search. irony at its best.

Take a look at what LeagueVine provides. I thought they did all of this and more. Wouldn't take any time to get off the ground, just a few bones.

i have, but think there are better options out there that can provide more as long as the cost makes sense. i've just scratched the surface on this project though and will provide better information once we have some good options to present. we are planning a summer meeting for next month (details to come very soon) and it will be on the agenda. of course, this is about an entire website overhaul, so leaguevine could be a temporary solution in the interim.

I have a program already for reporting scores that I developed for Ozark Ultimate. With a few tweaks it could update standings, scores and +/- on the FDA website. Dumb phones and smart phones can post updates via twitter. If you wanted to keep stats Leaguevine would be better though.
